Beverly Boulevard: Heath Ceramics & Rolling Greens

Heath Ceramics, based in Sausalito, has been in business making tiles and tableware for over half a century. Almost a decade ago, an industrious couple Robin Petravic and Catherine Bailey bought Heath and set to revitalizing the company with a strong emphasis on design and designer-made lines while maintaining the hand-crafted techniques that make them so rich and timeless. Many of Edith Heath's original designs are still being made like the Coupe line pictured above.

With a nod to restaurants, the Rim line was introduced for easier stacking and durability.

They began a collaboration with Adam Silverman of Atwater Pottery and now he heads their on-site pottery studio.

I love the color-themed trios of bud vases....perfect to add to an entry table or fireplace mantel for interest.

You choose the color and size and your tiles are made-to-order!
Heath offers several different finishes on their tiles, matte, glossy, dual-glaze and crackle.

In addition to their tableware and tile, Heath Ceramics collaborates with other like-minded companies and carries their eco-conscious and locally made products.
These linens made by Matteo for Commune are unbelievably soft and luxe.
Here are some colorful South African linens by Skinny Laminx.

Branching out in the pursuit of good design, Heath also offers these modernist planters. They would look perfect on the balcony of my Schindler apartment in Silver Lake.

ROLLING GREENS:

Rolling Greens has stunning displays in their Beverly storefront.

Interesting selection of ceramic pots for pairing with a plant in the gift section.

These French wax candles, invented by brothers in the 18th Century, smell unbelievably good, scented with exotic botanicals....and they burn clean and smoke-free.
Candle holders & Apothecary Containers

Another great display in the gifts section featuring this linen pendant...

They also have home decor and lighting like these fabulous gothic wrought-iron pendants.

Sultry glass pendants would add a Moorish touch to a Spanish Revival 1930's home I'm working on....

Fun drawers full of antique knobs....
And, of course, they have the prerequisite selection of succulents, perfect for any contemporary or Mediterranean garden.
